TACOMA, WASHINGTON – The Litigation and Valuation team at The Doty Group, P.S. Certified Public Accountants is excited to announce their expanded Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Presentations, a seminar series.

In the last several years, the demand for business valuations has considerably increased. Producing a credible report to estimate value requires specialized knowledge and experience. Led by Shareholder Shelley Drury, CPA, CVA, ABV, CFF, the Litigation and Valuation team has over 20 years of experience in the field, and has presented to the International Society of Business Appraisers, the Ethics Training Panel at The University of Washington, and other CLE events related to Small Business, Forensic Accounting, and Marital Dissolution.

The expanded series, available to law firms and business owners, offers a personalized examination of valuable concepts related to individual and business asset valuation, while also providing awareness of the types of complex services that are available to the clients of professional services providers.

The seminars are eligible for credit through the Washington State Bar Association and may be of interest to attorneys seeking local resources for cases involving business valuations, pension valuations, income calculation of self-employed individuals for child support and/or maintenance purposes, economic damage calculations, and fraud and forensic accounting.

The seminars may be hosted on-location or at The Doty Group’s office in Downtown Tacoma and are commonly conducted as 1-hour lunch and learn-type events. The list of topics may also be customized according to specific interests, or expanded into longer, more in-depth courses.
